About Us

It is the mission of The Child Guidance Clinic For Central Connecticut to develop capable children and families in the greater Meriden area. The Clinic will achieve this by providing prevention, intervention and educational services based upon sound principles of mental health.

Founded in 1957, the Child Guidance Clinic provides comprehensive mental health evaluation and treatment, crisis intervention and outreach services to children, adolescents and their families in the greater Meriden area.

Community based drug and alcohol prevention and treatment programs are offered.

Specialized services are offered to families in Meriden and Wallingford where children are at risk for neglect and abuse.

Consultation and Educational services are available to community agencies and institutions.

Spanish language services are available in all our programs.
