Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Services

Our Children’s Outpatient Program provides comprehensive, culturally aware behavioral health and substance use assessment and treatment services for children ages 3-18. All services are available in English and Spanish.

We offer individual, family and group therapeutic counseling to address the psychological, behavioral, developmental and social well-being of children, adolescents and their caregivers, experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. Staff are trained to recognize and assist children and adolescents to cope with the impact of trauma.

Services are individualized and tailored to the needs of the family. We work with families to create individualized plans of care. We help stabilize families, guiding children through mental and emotional struggles.

As an Enhanced Care Clinic, the Children’s Outpatient Program provides timely triage and intake evaluation within fourteen days of the request for treatment. Services offered include a comprehensive assessment during which initial recommendations and referrals, as clinically indicated, are provided the day of the initial appointment. If it is determined the child can benefit from medication, an evaluation will be scheduled with a psychiatrist, as long as the child remains active in therapy.

Specialized, comprehensive behavioral health treatment services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team of master’s level clinicians and child psychiatrists. Therapist are trauma informed and trained in Evidence Based Practices that improve the quality of care by helping children and adolescents to achieve better outcomes.

The program components include:

  • Initial triage, assessment and evaluation
  • Individual therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Medication management
  • Group therapy
  • Parenting groups
  • Training and consultation to schools and community organizations

Evidence Based Practices Include: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT); Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC); Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS/Bounce Back); Trauma Affect Regulation (TARGET)

We treat many conditions, including anxiety, depression, dual diagnosis (mental health and substance use conditions), substance abuse, mood disorders, ADHD, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, and much more.

Recognizing the unique cultural needs of the communities we serve, our services are provided in both English and Spanish, in a respectful and culturally relevant manner, using a wide range of evidence-based models.

Group, individual and family therapy sessions utilizing an evidence-based curriculum encourage meaningful participation from all attendees.
